Alaska

The Joe and Tina Swan family.

AYM pastors approved for ministry to the Navajo—Joe and Tina Swan, pastoral couple from the Inupiaq people of Northwest Alaska, have been called and approved to reach out to the largest Native American tribe in the United States—the Navajo.

Like Jews and Samaritans in New Testament times, the Eskimo and Navajo peoples have both similarities and differences. The Swans need your prayers in this time of unique opportunity to communicate the gospel afresh.

Joe and Tina are living examples of the power of the gospel to bring light into darkness. Together, they were delivered from destructive lifestyles literally overnight upon committing their lives to Christ several years ago. They have two children and are expecting a third child this summer.

With the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit, Joe and Tina are praying and planning to reach out to see many more of the Navajo people come to serve the Lord as their Savior through the power of the gospel.
