Greeting from EFCI Director, Ron Stansell
Welcome to Evangelical Friends Church International (EFCI). As you get to know the Quakers of EFCI, you will see our concern to free people to follow God's call. EFCI arose out of a God-given concern to be an expression of the historic Friends Church, evangelical Christian in nature and worldwide in scope.
The primary work of Evangelical Friends Church International takes place in five world regions: EFCI/Africa Region; EFCI/Asia Region; EFCI/Latin America Region; EFCI/Europe and EFCI/North America Region. The EFCI Council consists of the five Regional Directors and the Council Director. They meet once every three years for consultation and coordination. Each Region is composed of several autonomous Yearly Meetings and groups of Friends from that geographic area and undertakes shared projects and fellowship to build the Kingdom.
About Ron Stansell
Dr. Ron Stansell received a call from EFCI in 1991 to serve as the Director.
He sees his primary goal to encourage the Regional Directors around the world as they meet the call of the Great Commission within their unique cultural settings. Ron and his wife Carolyn, spend every summer visiting Evangelical Friends around the world providing support, encouragement and guidance as needed.
Dr. Ron Stansell also serves as a professor at George Fox College in Newberg, Oregon. He holds a doctorate of Missiology and has taught Bible, International Studies, World Religions and Missions classes for over 15 years. Dr. Stansell graduated from George Fox College with a B.A., M.B.A. from George Fox Evangelical Seminary and a doctorate of Missiology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Ron and his wife, Carolyn have been married for over 35 years. They have three young adult daughters living internationally.
Ron was recorded as a Friends minister through Northwest Yearly Meeting in 1970. He served as Youth Superintendent for two years after college before being called as missionary.
Ron and Carolyn, served in Bolivia for 18 years where they helped establish a missionary children's school in Santa Cruz, three educational institutions: a seminary at LaPaz, a University at Santa Cruz and Bible School Programs.

- Each Region works to be sensitive to God's voice through scripture and through contemporary needs by faithful waiting on the Lord and availability to the Holy Spirit to do his will.
- We attempt to share creative and effective methods of proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have not received Him as Savior and Lord.
- We stimulate the deep sharing of joys and burdens with one another as a family of Friends locally, nationally and internationally.
- We work to develop individual spiritual gifts and Christ-like life-styles for servant leadership among God's people.
